Casco at the Pentagon: A DISA J-6 Recap

Written by Rene Brandel on Fri Oct 02 2026

On September 23, 2026, we joined the DISA J-6 Cyber Awareness Forum at the Pentagon. I gave an opening talk: The Death of Point-in-Time Pentesting & Rise of Agentic Red Teaming.

A pentest is a snapshot. Software keeps changing after the test ends. I talked about the gaps that leaves, and how AI agents can keep testing, validate vulnerabilities, and retest fixes while people focus on the work that needs judgment.

We also met Brigadier General Francisco J. Dominguez, Vice Director for Operations of DISA's J-6 C4 Enterprise Directorate.

Ian and I started Casco just last year. Speaking at the Pentagon this soon was wild. Thank you to the DISA J-6 team for having us.

We couldn't take photos inside the Pentagon, so here's Ian and me "practicing" the meeting at our hotel. The lamp had no further questions.
