{"id":"CVE-2026-9507","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Session fixation vulnerability in Enhancesoft's osTicket","description":"A session fixation vulnerability has been identified in osTicket v1.18.2. This security flaw allows an attacker to hijack a victim’s account by keeping the initial session identifier (OSTSESSID) active after a successful login.\n\n\n\nThe issue lies in the fact that the application does not invalidate the pre-authentication cookie or generate a new identifier for the authenticated context. As a result, if an attacker manages to set a known session identifier in the victim’s browser, they will be able to maintain unauthorised access to the account once the victim has authenticated.","publishedAt":"2026-06-16T11:47:56.882Z","updatedAt":"2026-06-16T16:18:10.713Z","severity":{"score":5.1,"label":"Medium","version":"4.0","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","source":"INCIBE"},"assigner":"INCIBE","products":["Enhancesoft osTicket"],"affected":[{"vendor":"Enhancesoft","product":"osTicket","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"1.18.2","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://www.incibe.es/en/incibe-cert/notices/aviso/session-fixation-vulnerability-enhancesofts-osticket"],"weaknesses":["CWE-38"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:13:52.441Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/9xxx/CVE-2026-9507.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-9507","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-06-16T11:47:56.882Z","dateUpdated":"2026-06-16T16:18:10.713Z","assignerShortName":"INCIBE","assignerOrgId":"0cbda920-cd7f-484a-8e76-bf7f4b7f4516","dateReserved":"2026-05-25T13:36:09.788Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Session fixation vulnerability in Enhancesoft's osTicket","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"A session fixation vulnerability has been identified in osTicket v1.18.2.
