{"id":"CVE-2026-6395","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Word 2 Cash <= 0.9.2 - Cross-Site Request Forgeryto Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Settings Page","description":"The Word 2 Cash plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery leading to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to and including 0.9.2. This is due to the complete absence of nonce verification on the settings save handler in the w2c_admin() function, combined with missing input sanitization before storage and missing output escaping when rendering the stored value. The w2c-definitions POST parameter is saved raw via update_option() and later echoed without escaping inside a <textarea> element. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to forge a request on behalf of a logged-in administrator, storing arbitrary JavaScript payloads that execute in the WordPress admin panel whenever the settings page is visited.","publishedAt":"2026-05-20T01:25:56.234Z","updatedAt":"2026-05-20T12:06:13.297Z","severity":{"score":6.1,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["winking Word 2 Cash"],"affected":[{"vendor":"winking","product":"Word 2 Cash","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"0.9.2","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/e4c7ca5c-38aa-4413-83eb-29185cca2a74?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/word-2-cash/trunk/word2cash.php#L31","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/word-2-cash/tags/0.9.2/word2cash.php#L31","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/word-2-cash/trunk/word2cash.php#L20","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/word-2-cash/tags/0.9.2/word2cash.php#L20","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/word-2-cash/trunk/word2cash.php#L18","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/word-2-cash/tags/0.9.2/word2cash.php#L18"],"weaknesses":["CWE-352"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:12:49.727Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/6xxx/CVE-2026-6395.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-6395","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-05-20T01:25:56.234Z","dateUpdated":"2026-05-20T12:06:13.297Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-04-15T20:14:16.470Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Word 2 Cash <= 0.9.2 - Cross-Site Request Forgeryto Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Settings Page","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Word 2 Cash plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery leading to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to and including 0.9.2.
