{"id":"CVE-2026-63405","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"AnyCable: Pusher REST API Does Not Verify Request Body MD5 Enabling Signed-Request Replay with Arbitrary Body","description":"AnyCable is a realtime server for reliable two-way communication that supports any backend. Prior to 1.6.15, the Pusher-compatible REST API in pusher/http.go includes the caller-supplied body_md5 value in the HMAC input but does not calculate the digest of the received request body or compare it with the signed value. An attacker who obtains a legitimate signed POST request can retain its query parameters and auth_signature while replacing the body, causing Handler and handleEvents to accept and broadcast attacker-selected event content. The absence of an auth_timestamp freshness check also allows the captured signature to be replayed indefinitely. This can forge server-side events, modify application state, or deliver attacker-controlled messages to WebSocket clients within the signed request's application context. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.15.","publishedAt":"2026-09-18T16:47:37.120Z","updatedAt":"2026-09-18T17:07:38.720Z","severity":{"score":5.9,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","source":"GitHub_M"},"assigner":"GitHub_M","products":["anycable anycable"],"affected":[{"vendor":"anycable","product":"anycable","versions":[{"version":"< 1.6.15","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://github.com/anycable/anycable/security/advisories/GHSA-5p54-whvp-x327","https://github.com/anycable/anycable/commit/d2cbadec792f038f4695c84a65c0d957b0fde72c","https://github.com/anycable/anycable/releases/tag/v1.6.15"],"weaknesses":["CWE-345"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:12:41.951Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/63xxx/CVE-2026-63405.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-63405","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-09-18T16:47:37.120Z","dateUpdated":"2026-09-18T17:07:38.720Z","assignerShortName":"GitHub_M","assignerOrgId":"a0819718-46f1-4df5-94e2-005712e83aaa","dateReserved":"2026-07-16T19:20:28.987Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"AnyCable: Pusher REST API Does Not Verify Request Body MD5 Enabling Signed-Request Replay with Arbitrary Body","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"AnyCable is a realtime server for reliable two-way communication that supports any backend.
