{"id":"CVE-2026-57488","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"pupnp: Integer truncation in HTTP Content-Length parsing enables request smuggling","description":"pupnp is an SDK for development of UPnP device and control point applications. Prior to 2.0.2, raw_to_int in upnp/src/genlib/net/http/httpparser.c parses Content-Length with strtol and casts the resulting long to a 32-bit int before the caller stores it as unsigned int. On LP64 systems, values greater than INT_MAX can truncate or wrap, so the HTTP parser can accept a body length different from the declared value. A remote adjacent-network peer can use the resulting parser disagreement to leave bytes to be interpreted as another request in persistent or proxied contexts, or can make a worker wait for an extremely large body and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in 2.0.2.","publishedAt":"2026-10-16T15:34:49.625Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-16T19:08:25.462Z","severity":{"score":7.1,"label":"High","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H","source":"GitHub_M"},"assigner":"GitHub_M","products":["pupnp pupnp"],"affected":[{"vendor":"pupnp","product":"pupnp","versions":[{"version":"< 2.0.2","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://github.com/pupnp/pupnp/security/advisories/GHSA-g6c2-x4r9-352g","https://github.com/pupnp/pupnp/commit/de9602aef34ff722f3630d66c9be8eaa0aa9f012","https://github.com/pupnp/pupnp/releases/tag/release-2.0.2"],"weaknesses":["CWE-190","CWE-444"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:12:24.861Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/57xxx/CVE-2026-57488.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-57488","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-10-16T15:34:49.625Z","dateUpdated":"2026-10-16T19:08:25.462Z","assignerShortName":"GitHub_M","assignerOrgId":"a0819718-46f1-4df5-94e2-005712e83aaa","dateReserved":"2026-06-24T14:53:40.111Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"pupnp: Integer truncation in HTTP Content-Length parsing enables request smuggling","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"pupnp is an SDK for development of UPnP device and control point applications.
