Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev100, the fix for CVE-2026-33509 prevents setting storage_folder inside PKGDIR or userdir, but does NOT protect the Flask session directory (/tmp/pyLoad/flask). An authenticated attacker can set storage_folder to the session directory and download session files of other users via /files/get/, leading to account takeover. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.0b3.dev100.","publishedAt":"2026-05-28T17:12:59.835Z","updatedAt":"2026-05-28T18:49:45.693Z","severity":{"score":6.5,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","source":"GitHub_M"},"assigner":"GitHub_M","products":["pyload pyload"],"affected":[{"vendor":"pyload","product":"pyload","versions":[{"version":"< 0.5.0b3.dev100","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://github.com/pyload/pyload/security/advisories/GHSA-w727-595x-pc3r"],"weaknesses":["CWE-706"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:12:07.131Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/45xxx/CVE-2026-45306.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-45306","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-05-28T17:12:59.835Z","dateUpdated":"2026-05-28T18:49:45.693Z","assignerShortName":"GitHub_M","assignerOrgId":"a0819718-46f1-4df5-94e2-005712e83aaa","dateReserved":"2026-05-11T20:14:43.202Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"pyLoad: Incomplete Fix for CVE-2026-33509 -storage_folder Bypass via Session Directory","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python.
