{"id":"CVE-2026-45161","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"wger: trainer_login accepts GET - CSRF bypass enables forced session rebinding","description":"wger is a free, open-source workout and fitness manager. Prior to version 2.6, the `trainer_login` view in wger accepts GET requests and executes `django_login()` without any CSRF protection, because Django's `CsrfViewMiddleware` only enforces tokens on unsafe methods (POST/PUT/PATCH/DELETE). An attacker can embed a single `<img>` tag on a malicious page; when an authenticated trainer loads that page, their browser auto-issues the GET with the session cookie, forcibly rebinding the trainer's session to an arbitrary user account. Version 2.6 fixes the issue.","publishedAt":"2026-10-07T13:35:53.363Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-07T17:04:45.845Z","severity":{"score":5.4,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","source":"GitHub_M"},"assigner":"GitHub_M","products":["wger-project wger"],"affected":[{"vendor":"wger-project","product":"wger","versions":[{"version":"< 2.6","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://github.com/wger-project/wger/security/advisories/GHSA-xf64-4pmc-h8qf","https://github.com/wger-project/wger/releases/tag/2.6"],"weaknesses":["CWE-352"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:12:07.131Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/45xxx/CVE-2026-45161.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-45161","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-10-07T13:35:53.363Z","dateUpdated":"2026-10-07T17:04:45.845Z","assignerShortName":"GitHub_M","assignerOrgId":"a0819718-46f1-4df5-94e2-005712e83aaa","dateReserved":"2026-05-08T20:44:38.965Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"wger: trainer_login accepts GET - CSRF bypass enables forced session rebinding","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"wger is a free, open-source workout and fitness manager.
