{"id":"CVE-2026-43911","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Vaultwarden: Refresh tokens not invalidated on security stamp rotation","description":"Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust. Prior to 1.35.5, refresh tokens are not invalidated when the user's security_stamp is rotated by some security-sensitive operations (password change, KDF change, key rotation, email change, org admin password reset, emergency access takeover). This allows an attacker holding a previously obtained refresh token to maintain session access even after the user has taken action to secure their account. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.35.5.","publishedAt":"2026-05-11T21:54:41.074Z","updatedAt":"2026-05-12T16:44:07.823Z","severity":{"score":6.8,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","source":"GitHub_M"},"assigner":"GitHub_M","products":["dani-garcia vaultwarden"],"affected":[{"vendor":"dani-garcia","product":"vaultwarden","versions":[{"version":"< 1.35.5","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://github.com/dani-garcia/vaultwarden/security/advisories/GHSA-6j4w-g4jh-xjfx"],"weaknesses":["CWE-613"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:11:57.932Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/43xxx/CVE-2026-43911.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-43911","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-05-11T21:54:41.074Z","dateUpdated":"2026-05-12T16:44:07.823Z","assignerShortName":"GitHub_M","assignerOrgId":"a0819718-46f1-4df5-94e2-005712e83aaa","dateReserved":"2026-05-04T16:11:33.086Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Vaultwarden: Refresh tokens not invalidated on security stamp rotation","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"Vaultwarden is a Bitwarden-compatible server written in Rust.
