{"id":"CVE-2026-4290","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"WP Travel Pro <= 10.6.0 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Arbitrary User Deletion Including Administrators","description":"The WP Travel Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary user deletion via the /wp-json/wp-travel/v1/travel-guide/{user_id} REST API endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 10.6.0. This is due to the check_permission() callback unconditionally returning true and the Database::delete() method passing the user ID directly to wp_delete_user() without any role validation. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary user accounts, including those of administrators.","publishedAt":"2026-05-29T14:29:08.134Z","updatedAt":"2026-05-29T15:03:55.782Z","severity":{"score":9.1,"label":"Critical","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["WPTravel WP Travel Pro"],"affected":[{"vendor":"WPTravel","product":"WP Travel Pro","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"10.6.0","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/885dd550-4c80-4e36-8dae-cb47c1500ea5?source=cve","https://wptravel.io/wp-travel-pro/"],"weaknesses":["CWE-862"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:12:16.098Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/4xxx/CVE-2026-4290.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-4290","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-05-29T14:29:08.134Z","dateUpdated":"2026-05-29T15:03:55.782Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-03-16T16:54:44.082Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"WP Travel Pro <= 10.6.0 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Arbitrary User Deletion Including Administrators","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The WP Travel Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary user deletion via the /wp-json/wp-travel/v1/travel-guide/{user_id} REST API endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 10.6.0.
