{"id":"CVE-2026-4011","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Power Charts <= 0.1.0 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'id' Shortcode Attribute","description":"The Power Charts Lite plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'id' parameter of the [pc] shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 0.1.0. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the 'id' shortcode attribute. Specifically, in the pc_shortcode() function, the 'id' attribute is extracted from user-supplied shortcode attributes and directly concatenated into an HTML div element's class attribute without any escaping or sanitization at line 62. The resulting HTML is then passed through html_entity_decode() before being returned, further undermining any potential safety. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.","publishedAt":"2026-04-15T08:28:17.209Z","updatedAt":"2026-04-15T16:13:09.653Z","severity":{"score":6.4,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["dgwyer Power Charts – Responsive Beautiful Charts & Graphs"],"affected":[{"vendor":"dgwyer","product":"Power Charts – Responsive Beautiful Charts & Graphs","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"0.1.0","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/ea41d391-ba8d-43d9-8eda-69ac28c49328?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wpgo-power-charts-lite/tags/0.1.0/classes/power-charts-shortcodes.php#L40","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wpgo-power-charts-lite/trunk/classes/power-charts-shortcodes.php#L62","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wpgo-power-charts-lite/tags/0.1.0/classes/power-charts-shortcodes.php#L62","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wpgo-power-charts-lite/trunk/classes/power-charts-shortcodes.php#L40"],"weaknesses":["CWE-79"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:12:16.098Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/4xxx/CVE-2026-4011.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-4011","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-04-15T08:28:17.209Z","dateUpdated":"2026-04-15T16:13:09.653Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-03-11T19:05:31.880Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Power Charts <= 0.1.0 - Authenticated (Contributor+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'id' Shortcode Attribute","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Power Charts Lite plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'id' parameter of the [pc] shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 0.1.0.
