{"id":"CVE-2026-33624","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Parse Server: MFA recovery code single-use bypass via concurrent requests","description":"Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 8.6.60 and 9.6.0-alpha.54, an attacker who obtains a user's password and a single MFA recovery code can reuse that recovery code an unlimited number of times by sending concurrent login requests. This defeats the single-use design of recovery codes. The attack requires the user's password, a valid recovery code, and the ability to send concurrent requests within milliseconds. This issue has been patched in versions 8.6.60 and 9.6.0-alpha.54.","publishedAt":"2026-03-24T18:28:52.114Z","updatedAt":"2026-03-25T14:28:24.585Z","severity":{"score":2.1,"label":"Low","version":"4.0","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","source":"GitHub_M"},"assigner":"GitHub_M","products":["parse-community parse-server"],"affected":[{"vendor":"parse-community","product":"parse-server","versions":[{"version":"< 8.6.60","status":"affected"},{"version":">= 9.0.0, < 9.6.0-alpha.54","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/security/advisories/GHSA-2299-ghjr-6vjp","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/10275","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/pull/10276","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/commit/5e70094250a36bfcc14ecd49592be2b94fba66ff","https://github.com/parse-community/parse-server/commit/fc3da35a81d5083b453e8967cabcc880f1a3bd0c"],"weaknesses":["CWE-367"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:11:40.391Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/33xxx/CVE-2026-33624.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-33624","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-03-24T18:28:52.114Z","dateUpdated":"2026-03-25T14:28:24.585Z","assignerShortName":"GitHub_M","assignerOrgId":"a0819718-46f1-4df5-94e2-005712e83aaa","dateReserved":"2026-03-23T14:24:11.617Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Parse Server: MFA recovery code single-use bypass via concurrent requests","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js.
