{"id":"CVE-2026-32108","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Copyparty ftp/sftp: Sharing a single file did not fully restrict source-folder access","description":"Copyparty is a portable file server. Prior to 1.20.12, there was a missing permission-check in the shares feature (the shr global-option). This vulnerability only applies when the shares feature is used for the specific purpose of creating a share of just a single file inside a folder or either the FTP or SFTP server is enabled, and also made publicly accessible. Given these conditions, when a user is browsing a share through either FTP or SFTP (not http or https), they can gain read-access to the remaining files inside the shared folder by guessing/bruteforcing the filenames. It was not possible to descend into subdirectories in this manner; only the sibling files were accessible. This vulnerability is similar to CVE-2025-58753 which was previously fixed for HTTP and HTTPS, but not for FTP. The FTPS server did not yet exist at that time. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.20.12.","publishedAt":"2026-03-11T20:14:18.998Z","updatedAt":"2026-03-12T19:47:10.628Z","severity":{"score":2.3,"label":"Low","version":"4.0","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","source":"GitHub_M"},"assigner":"GitHub_M","products":["9001 copyparty"],"affected":[{"vendor":"9001","product":"copyparty","versions":[{"version":"< 1.20.12","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://github.com/9001/copyparty/security/advisories/GHSA-67rw-2x62-mqqm"],"weaknesses":["CWE-863"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:11:40.391Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/32xxx/CVE-2026-32108.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-32108","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-03-11T20:14:18.998Z","dateUpdated":"2026-03-12T19:47:10.628Z","assignerShortName":"GitHub_M","assignerOrgId":"a0819718-46f1-4df5-94e2-005712e83aaa","dateReserved":"2026-03-10T22:02:38.854Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Copyparty ftp/sftp: Sharing a single file did not fully restrict source-folder access","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"Copyparty is a portable file server.
