{"id":"CVE-2026-14500","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Bulk Order Update for WooCommerce <= 1.6 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Read via 'csv_url' Parameter","description":"The Bulk Order Update for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read in versions up to, and including, 1.6. This is due to the bouw_fetch_csv_data() AJAX handler being registered on the wp_ajax_nopriv_ hook with no capability or nonce check, and passing the attacker-supplied csv_url POST parameter — filtered only by esc_url_raw() (which leaves absolute filesystem paths intact) and validate_file() (which only rejects '..' traversal patterns) — directly into fopen()/fgetcsv() and reflecting the first parsed line in the JSON response. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the first line of arbitrary files on the server (such as /etc/passwd) and to use the handler as a file-existence oracle.","publishedAt":"2026-07-08T05:34:10.332Z","updatedAt":"2026-07-08T15:04:06.454Z","severity":{"score":5.3,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["sayantandas20 Bulk Order Update for WooCommerce"],"affected":[{"vendor":"sayantandas20","product":"Bulk Order Update for WooCommerce","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"1.6","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/d3aa1f74-6372-4abe-894b-07ad3e81ea81?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/bulk-order-update-for-woocommerce/tags/1.6/inc/plugin-html.php#L33","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/bulk-order-update-for-woocommerce/tags/1.6/inc/plugin-html.php#L23","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/bulk-order-update-for-woocommerce/tags/1.6/inc/plugin-html.php#L48"],"weaknesses":["CWE-22"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:11:00.674Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/14xxx/CVE-2026-14500.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-14500","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-07-08T05:34:10.332Z","dateUpdated":"2026-07-08T15:04:06.454Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-07-02T17:59:31.850Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Bulk Order Update for WooCommerce <= 1.6 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Read via 'csv_url' Parameter","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Bulk Order Update for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read in versions up to, and including, 1.6.
