{"id":"CVE-2026-14249","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Request a Quote Form Plugin <= 2.5.5 - Unauthenticated Code Injection via 'path' Parameter","description":"The Request a Quote plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Code Injection in versions up to, and including, 2.5.5 via the emd_delete_file AJAX action. This is due to the emd_delete_file() handler deriving a PHP function name from the attacker-controlled $_POST['path'] parameter and invoking it dynamically via the variable-function call $sess_name(), and the handler being registered for wp_ajax_nopriv with its only protection being a nonce that the plugin prints into the public quote-form page via wp_localize_script. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to invoke arbitrary zero-argument PHP functions on the server, such as phpinfo(), potentially exposing sensitive server configuration and credentials, or executing other destructive built-in PHP functions.","publishedAt":"2026-07-02T05:35:06.954Z","updatedAt":"2026-07-02T15:03:09.103Z","severity":{"score":7.5,"label":"High","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["emarket-design Request a Quote – Quote Forms for Any WordPress Site"],"affected":[{"vendor":"emarket-design","product":"Request a Quote – Quote Forms for Any WordPress Site","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"2.5.5","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/5a349c4f-d2e7-47af-9013-3cfa496b3b8c?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/request-a-quote/tags/2.5.5/includes/common-functions.php#L1038","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/request-a-quote/tags/2.5.5/includes/class-install-deactivate.php#L60","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/request-a-quote/tags/2.5.5/includes/emd-form-builder-lite/emd-form-frontend.php#L1187","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/request-a-quote/tags/2.5.5/includes/common-functions.php#L1035","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3592676%40request-a-quote&new=3592676%40request-a-quote&sfp_email=&sfph_mail="],"weaknesses":["CWE-74"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:11:00.674Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/14xxx/CVE-2026-14249.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-14249","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-07-02T05:35:06.954Z","dateUpdated":"2026-07-02T15:03:09.103Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-06-30T14:10:36.813Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Request a Quote Form Plugin <= 2.5.5 - Unauthenticated Code Injection via 'path' Parameter","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Request a Quote plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Code Injection in versions up to, and including, 2.5.5 via the emd_delete_file AJAX action.
