{"id":"CVE-2026-13015","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"WP Google Review Slider <= 18.1 - Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via 'place' Parameter","description":"The Wp Google Places Review Slider plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'place' parameter in versions up to, and including, 18.1. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in admin/partials/googlecrawl_dfs.php, where the $_GET['place'] value is URL-decoded, stripslashes()'d, and echoed directly into an HTML value attribute with no esc_attr() call when the supplied place is not already a stored key in the wprev_google_crawls option. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a specially crafted link.","publishedAt":"2026-07-01T03:43:36.847Z","updatedAt":"2026-07-01T10:32:05.780Z","severity":{"score":6.1,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["jgwhite33 WP Google Review Slider"],"affected":[{"vendor":"jgwhite33","product":"WP Google Review Slider","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"18.1","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/815054e2-c575-439a-9a66-fce251b4da80?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-places-review-slider/trunk/admin/partials/googlecrawl_dfs.php#L109","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-places-review-slider/trunk/admin/partials/googlecrawl_dfs.php#L22","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-places-review-slider/trunk/admin/partials/googlecrawl_dfs.php#L48","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3590253%40wp-google-places-review-slider&new=3590253%40wp-google-places-review-slider&sfp_email=&sfph_mail="],"weaknesses":["CWE-79"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:11:00.674Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/13xxx/CVE-2026-13015.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-13015","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-07-01T03:43:36.847Z","dateUpdated":"2026-07-01T10:32:05.780Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-06-23T15:52:03.770Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"WP Google Review Slider <= 18.1 - Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via 'place' Parameter","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Wp Google Places Review Slider plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'place' parameter in versions up to, and including, 18.1.
