{"id":"CVE-2026-111464","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"WP Fastest Cache <= 1.5.3 - Unauthenticated Sensitive Information Exposure via Cached wp-activate.php Response","description":"The WP Fastest Cache plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.3. The plugin caches the response of Core’s wp-activate.php without honoring its no-store/no-cache headers, the wp-activate-* cookie, or the WP_INSTALLING state, writing the credential-bearing activation response to a publicly accessible cache file. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the plaintext username and twelve-character password of the most recently activated Multisite registrant from that cached wp-activate.php response. Exploitation requires a Multisite subdirectory installation with public user and site registration enabled, and the credentials are only exposed after a genuine registrant follows their activation link.","publishedAt":"2026-11-03T02:31:19.933Z","updatedAt":"2026-11-03T02:31:19.933Z","severity":{"score":5.9,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["emrevona WP Fastest Cache – WordPress Cache Plugin"],"affected":[{"vendor":"emrevona","product":"WP Fastest Cache – WordPress Cache Plugin","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"1.5.3","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/83539a88-b90e-49f0-a599-b3f83b2d97b9?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-fastest-cache/tags/1.5.2/inc/cache.php#L1027","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-fastest-cache/tags/1.5.2/inc/cache.php#L452","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-fastest-cache/tags/1.5.2/inc/cache.php#L567","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-fastest-cache/tags/1.5.2/inc/cache.php#L1400","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-fastest-cache/tags/1.5.2/inc/cache.php#L83","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3749897/wp-fastest-cache"],"weaknesses":["CWE-524"],"ingestedAt":"2026-11-03T02:38:06.599Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/111xxx/CVE-2026-111464.json","commit":"cdfb81f23906593158cdfa325cc99c023ec4643e","baselineCommit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-111464","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-11-03T02:31:19.933Z","dateUpdated":"2026-11-03T02:31:19.933Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-10-16T05:59:29.150Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"WP Fastest Cache <= 1.5.3 - Unauthenticated Sensitive Information Exposure via Cached wp-activate.php Response","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The WP Fastest Cache plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.3.
