{"id":"CVE-2026-107349","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Infinite loop on empty option name in startup options parameter in PgBouncer","description":"An infinite loop in PgBouncer 1.20.0 through 1.26.0 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service. A StartupMessage whose options parameter contains an empty parameter name, such as \"-c=\", makes the ignore_startup_parameters list lookup loop forever. Because PgBouncer serves all clients from a single process, this saturates a CPU core and makes PgBouncer unresponsive to all clients until the process is restarted.","publishedAt":"2026-10-14T17:34:33.785Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-16T20:19:16.649Z","severity":{"score":7.5,"label":"High","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","source":"PostgreSQL"},"assigner":"PostgreSQL","products":["n/a PgBouncer"],"affected":[{"vendor":"n/a","product":"PgBouncer","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"1.20.0","status":"affected","lessThan":"1.26.1","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.pgbouncer.org/changelog.html"],"weaknesses":["CWE-835","CWE-400"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:10:23.711Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/107xxx/CVE-2026-107349.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-107349","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-10-14T17:34:33.785Z","dateUpdated":"2026-10-16T20:19:16.649Z","assignerShortName":"PostgreSQL","assignerOrgId":"f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007","dateReserved":"2026-10-07T19:13:32.963Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Infinite loop on empty option name in startup options parameter in PgBouncer","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"An infinite loop in PgBouncer 1.20.0 through 1.26.0 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
