{"id":"CVE-2026-106105","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Quasar Framework: Development TLS private keys are cached with overly permissive filesystem permissions","description":"Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces. Prior to @quasar/ssl-certificate 2.1.0, @quasar/cli 5.0.4, and @quasar/app-vite 3.3.0, the @quasar/ssl-certificate utility cached a combined private key and certificate PEM without explicitly applying owner-only filesystem permissions. Another local user able to read the cache can copy the key and impersonate a development TLS endpoint in an environment that trusts the certificate. The generated certificate was also CA-capable, carried unnecessarily broad key usages, and encoded the IPv6 loopback address as a DNS subject alternative name. This issue is fixed in @quasar/ssl-certificate 2.1.0, @quasar/cli 5.0.4, and @quasar/app-vite 3.3.0.","publishedAt":"2026-10-06T17:20:36.923Z","updatedAt":"2026-10-06T17:53:57.230Z","severity":{"score":8.4,"label":"High","version":"4.0","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","source":"GitHub_M"},"assigner":"GitHub_M","products":["quasarframework quasar","@quasar app-vite","@quasar cli","@quasar ssl-certificate"],"affected":[{"vendor":"quasarframework","product":"quasar","versions":[{"version":"< 2.23.3","status":"affected"}]},{"vendor":"@quasar","product":"app-vite","versions":[{"version":"< 3.3.0","status":"affected"}]},{"vendor":"@quasar","product":"cli","versions":[{"version":"< 5.0.4","status":"affected"}]},{"vendor":"@quasar","product":"ssl-certificate","versions":[{"version":"< 2.1.0","status":"affected"}]}],"references":["https://github.com/quasarframework/quasar/security/advisories/GHSA-fh39-c73x-5pjv","https://github.com/quasarframework/quasar/commit/b719460aa78e88714b8a1b7ca68267234d217575","https://github.com/quasarframework/quasar/releases/tag/@quasar/app-vite-v3.3.0","https://github.com/quasarframework/quasar/releases/tag/@quasar/cli-v5.0.4"],"weaknesses":["CWE-732"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:10:23.711Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/106xxx/CVE-2026-106105.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-106105","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-10-06T17:20:36.923Z","dateUpdated":"2026-10-06T17:53:57.230Z","assignerShortName":"GitHub_M","assignerOrgId":"a0819718-46f1-4df5-94e2-005712e83aaa","dateReserved":"2026-10-06T15:33:55.333Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Quasar Framework: Development TLS private keys are cached with overly permissive filesystem permissions","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"Quasar Framework is a framework for building high-performance Vue.js user interfaces.
