{"id":"CVE-2026-10096","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Qi Blocks <= 1.4.9 - Insecure Direct Object Reference to Authenticated (Author+) Arbitrary Style Modification via 'page_id' Parameter","description":"The Qi Blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.9 via the 'page_id' parameter due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to modify the stored Qi Blocks styles of arbitrary posts, templates, or widgets they do not own — including site-wide surfaces via the reserved 'template' and 'widget' page_id values — enabling unauthorized frontend defacement, content hiding, and degradation of any page on the site. The endpoint's permission_callback checks only the generic edit_posts and publish_posts capabilities, meaning any user with the built-in Author role satisfies the check regardless of post ownership.","publishedAt":"2026-07-01T07:53:37.118Z","updatedAt":"2026-07-01T10:32:04.339Z","severity":{"score":4.3,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["qodeinteractive Qi Blocks"],"affected":[{"vendor":"qodeinteractive","product":"Qi Blocks","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"1.4.9","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/64251fd4-1627-49d0-831f-5cb9898c38bf?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/qi-blocks/tags/1.4.9/inc/admin/global-styles/class-qi-blocks-framework-global-styles.php#L142","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/qi-blocks/tags/1.4.9/inc/admin/global-styles/class-qi-blocks-framework-global-styles.php#L134","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/qi-blocks/tags/1.4.9/inc/admin/global-styles/class-qi-blocks-framework-global-styles.php#L82","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3572812%40qi-blocks&new=3572812%40qi-blocks&sfp_email=&sfph_mail="],"weaknesses":["CWE-639"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:10:33.477Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/10xxx/CVE-2026-10096.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-10096","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-07-01T07:53:37.118Z","dateUpdated":"2026-07-01T10:32:04.339Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-05-29T14:01:46.700Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Qi Blocks <= 1.4.9 - Insecure Direct Object Reference to Authenticated (Author+) Arbitrary Style Modification via 'page_id' Parameter","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Qi Blocks plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.9 via the 'page_id' parameter due to missing validation on a user controlled key.
