{"id":"CVE-2026-10089","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Insert Pages <= 3.11.4 - Authenticated (Author+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Custom Field Keys (Meta Key Names)","description":"The Insert Pages plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via post custom field keys (meta key names) in all versions up to, and including, 3.11.4. This is due to insufficient output escaping in the the_meta() function: while the custom field VALUE is sanitized with wp_kses_post(), the custom field KEY ($key) is interpolated into the rendered HTML (lines 1786-1791) and echoed (line 1806) without any escaping when an inserted page is rendered with the [insert page='ID' display='all'] shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.","publishedAt":"2026-07-02T05:35:13.559Z","updatedAt":"2026-07-02T14:50:23.017Z","severity":{"score":6.4,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["figureone Insert Pages"],"affected":[{"vendor":"figureone","product":"Insert Pages","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"3.11.4","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/a4246181-d331-46b0-ad48-e2ece11b2f5f?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/insert-pages/tags/3.11.4/insert-pages.php#L1789","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/insert-pages/tags/3.11.4/insert-pages.php#L1771","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/insert-pages/tags/3.11.4/insert-pages.php#L768","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/insert-pages/tags/3.11.3/insert-pages.php#L1789","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/insert-pages/tags/3.11.3/insert-pages.php#L1771","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/insert-pages/tags/3.11.3/insert-pages.php#L768","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3579298"],"weaknesses":["CWE-79"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:10:33.477Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/10xxx/CVE-2026-10089.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-10089","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-07-02T05:35:13.559Z","dateUpdated":"2026-07-02T14:50:23.017Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-05-29T13:27:15.359Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Insert Pages <= 3.11.4 - Authenticated (Author+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Custom Field Keys (Meta Key Names)","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Insert Pages plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via post custom field keys (meta key names) in all versions up to, and including, 3.11.4.
