{"id":"CVE-2026-10035","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Turnkey bbPress by WeaverTheme <= 1.7.1 - Authenticated (Administrator+) PHP Object Injection","description":"The Turnkey bbPress by WeaverTheme plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.1 via deserialization of untrusted input in the wvrbbp_set_to_serialized_values() function (reached through the wvrbbp_save_restore() settings-restore handler). The function reads the raw contents of an administrator-uploaded file and passes them directly to unserialize() without any validation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable plugin itself; however, if a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.","publishedAt":"2026-08-16T05:27:29.335Z","updatedAt":"2026-08-17T15:38:50.161Z","severity":{"score":6.6,"label":"Medium","version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","source":"Wordfence"},"assigner":"Wordfence","products":["wpweaver Turnkey bbPress by WeaverTheme"],"affected":[{"vendor":"wpweaver","product":"Turnkey bbPress by WeaverTheme","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"1.7.1","versionType":"semver"}]}],"references":["https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/7e7411ab-174e-4bc2-9f96-dbce925a21eb?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/weaver-for-bbpress/tags/1.7.1/includes/wvrbbp-admin-lib.php#L132","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/weaver-for-bbpress/tags/1.7.1/includes/wvrbbp-admin-lib.php#L112","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/weaver-for-bbpress/tags/1.7.1/includes/wvrbbp-admin-top.php#L142","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?reponame=&old=3633471%40weaver-for-bbpress&new=3633471%40weaver-for-bbpress"],"weaknesses":["CWE-502"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:10:33.477Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2026/10xxx/CVE-2026-10035.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.2","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2026-10035","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2026-08-16T05:27:29.335Z","dateUpdated":"2026-08-17T15:38:50.161Z","assignerShortName":"Wordfence","assignerOrgId":"b15e7b5b-3da4-40ae-a43c-f7aa60e62599","dateReserved":"2026-05-28T19:05:58.649Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Turnkey bbPress by WeaverTheme <= 1.7.1 - Authenticated (Administrator+) PHP Object Injection","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"The Turnkey bbPress by WeaverTheme plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.1 via deserialization of untrusted input in the wvrbbp_set_to_serialized_values() function (reached through the wvrbbp_save_restore() settings-restore handler).
