{"id":"CVE-2025-34304","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"IPFire < v2.29 SQL Injection via OpenVPN Connection Logs","description":"IPFire versions prior to 2.29 (Core Update 198) contain a SQL injection vulnerability that allows an authenticated attacker to manipulate the SQL query used when viewing OpenVPN connection logs via the CONNECTION_NAME parameter. When viewing a range of OpenVPN connection logs, the application issues an HTTP POST request to the Request-URI /cgi-bin/logs.cgi/ovpnclients.dat and inserts the value of the CONNECTION_NAME parameter directly into the WHERE clause without proper sanitization or parameterization. The unsanitized value can alter the executed query and be used to disclose sensitive information from the database.","publishedAt":"2025-10-28T14:37:29.929Z","updatedAt":"2025-10-28T15:18:27.982Z","severity":{"score":7.1,"label":"High","version":"4.0","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","source":"VulnCheck"},"assigner":"VulnCheck","products":["IPFire.org IPFire"],"affected":[{"vendor":"IPFire.org","product":"IPFire","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThan":"2.29 (Core Update 198)","versionType":"custom"}],"modules":["/cgi-bin/logs.cgi/ovpnclients.dat"]}],"references":["https://www.ipfire.org/blog/ipfire-2-29-core-update-198-released","https://bugzilla.ipfire.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13879","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/ipfire-sqli-via-openvpn-connection-logs"],"weaknesses":["CWE-89"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:09:03.054Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2025/34xxx/CVE-2025-34304.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.1","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2025-34304","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2025-10-28T14:37:29.929Z","dateUpdated":"2025-10-28T15:18:27.982Z","assignerShortName":"VulnCheck","assignerOrgId":"83251b91-4cc7-4094-a5c7-464a1b83ea10","dateReserved":"2025-04-15T19:15:22.582Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"IPFire < v2.29 SQL Injection via OpenVPN Connection Logs","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"IPFire versions prior to 2.29 (Core Update 198) contain a SQL injection vulnerability that allows an authenticated attacker to manipulate the SQL query used when viewing OpenVPN connection logs via the CONNECTION_NAME parameter.
