{"id":"CVE-2025-2245","state":"PUBLISHED","title":"Server Side Request Forgery in GravityZone Update Server Using Null Bytes (VA-12646)","description":"A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the Bitdefender GravityZone Update Server when operating in Relay Mode. The HTTP proxy component on port 7074 uses a domain allowlist to restrict outbound requests, but fails to properly sanitize hostnames containing null-byte (%00) sequences. By crafting a request to a domain such as evil.com%00.bitdefender.com, an attacker can bypass the allowlist check, causing the proxy to forward requests to arbitrary external or internal systems.","publishedAt":"2025-04-04T09:54:03.681Z","updatedAt":"2025-04-04T12:57:26.616Z","severity":{"score":6.9,"label":"Medium","version":"4.0","vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:L/SI:L/SA:L","source":"Bitdefender"},"assigner":"Bitdefender","products":["Bitdefender GravityZone Update Server"],"affected":[{"vendor":"Bitdefender","product":"GravityZone Update Server","defaultStatus":"unaffected","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThan":"3.5.2.689","versionType":"custom"}]}],"references":["https://www.bitdefender.com/support/security-advisories/server-side-request-forgery-in-gravityzone-update-server-using-null-bytes-va-12646"],"weaknesses":["CWE-918"],"ingestedAt":"2026-10-29T20:08:55.257Z","source":{"repository":"CVEProject/cvelistV5","path":"cves/2025/2xxx/CVE-2025-2245.json","commit":"556c9d3a8cd17e218bb8e452ba7cd619a384ff47"},"raw":{"dataType":"CVE_RECORD","dataVersion":"5.1","cveMetadata":{"cveId":"CVE-2025-2245","state":"PUBLISHED","datePublished":"2025-04-04T09:54:03.681Z","dateUpdated":"2025-04-04T12:57:26.616Z","assignerShortName":"Bitdefender","assignerOrgId":"b3d5ebe7-963e-41fb-98e1-2edaeabb8f82","dateReserved":"2025-03-12T11:14:14.019Z"},"containers":{"cna":{"title":"Server Side Request Forgery in GravityZone Update Server Using Null Bytes (VA-12646)","descriptions":[{"lang":"en","value":"A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in the Bitdefender GravityZone Update Server when operating in Relay Mode.
