the remote side of the link never controls the corrupting writes.\nAC:L - The out-of-bounds access is unconditional and deterministic — every firmware download clears and sets bits past the end of the `hci_dev` allocation, and every HCI command TX and vendor event RX repeats an OOB `test_bit` with no race or timing dependency.\nPR:L - An unprivileged local user with access to the Bluetooth stack drives the HCI traffic that repeatedly exercises the out-of-bounds flag reads, and any local trigger of device down/up re-runs the corrupting setup path; consistent with other btusb/btnxpuart driver memory CVEs scored PR:L.\nUI:N - No victim action is needed — the corruption happens automatically when the Intel PCIe Bluetooth controller is brought up, typically at boot by bluetoothd, and continues for the device lifetime.\nS:U - The out-of-bounds read/write stays within kernel heap memory under the same security authority; no VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary is crossed.\nC:H - Out-of-bounds reads of `btintel_data` (flags bitmap and the `acpi_reset_method` pointer) pull kernel heap contents beyond the allocation, and the resulting heap corruption is of a class leverageable for arbitrary kernel memory disclosure.\nI:H - `set_bit`/`clear_bit`/`test_and_clear_bit` write past the end of the `hci_dev` allocation and a function pointer slot in that OOB region is later dereferenced and called, giving an attacker-influenceable heap write and control-flow primitive depending on adjacent slab layout.\nA:H - The out-of-bounds accesses trip KASAN/slab redzone checks and, where the 16-byte overrun crosses into a neighbouring slab object, corrupt unrelated kernel structures leading to oops or panic."}]}],"providerMetadata":{"shortName":"Linux","orgId":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","dateUpdated":"2026-08-05T11:39:10.981Z"},"cpeApplicability":[{"nodes":[{"operator":"OR","negate":false,"cpeMatch":[{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.10","versionEndExcluding":"6.10.12"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.10","versionEndExcluding":"6.11.1"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.10","versionEndExcluding":"6.12"}]}]}],"x_generator":{"engine":"bippy-1.2.0"}},"adp":[{"title":"CISA ADP Vulnrichment","metrics":[{"other":{"type":"ssvc","content":{"timestamp":"2024-10-03T13:36:54.865418Z","id":"CVE-2024-46869","options":[{"Exploitation":"none"},{"Automatable":"no"},{"Technical Impact":"partial"}],"role":"CISA Coordinator","version":"2.0.3"}}}],"providerMetadata":{"shortName":"CISA-ADP","orgId":"134c704f-9b21-4f2e-91b3-4a467353bcc0","dateUpdated":"2024-10-03T13:37:08.464Z"}}]}}}
