- The bug is in Bluetooth HCI connection teardown for SCO/ISO children; an in-range peer can drop the parent ACL (HCI disconnect / link loss) while SCO or ISO setup still has an unset handle, which is the Adjacent Bluetooth deployment model for phones and headsets.\nAC:L - The attacker controls both sides of the timing window by initiating or observing SCO/ISO setup and then aborting the parent ACL before the child handle is assigned; syzbot reproduced this reliably, and UAF bugs are AC:L unless a truly uncontrollable race is required.\nPR:N - An adjacent Bluetooth peer triggers the vulnerable hci_conn_unlink child cleanup via over-the-air ACL teardown with no local account or capability on the victim; the dangling socket reference is held by ordinary Bluetooth audio stacks already running on the device.\nUI:N - Once Bluetooth is up with a SCO/ISO path in progress (headset/HFP/LE Audio), the peer’s own disconnect drives the free without requiring the victim to open a file, mount anything, or otherwise interact at exploit time.\nS:U - The use-after-free corrupts kernel heap within the same host kernel authority and does not cross a VM, IOMMU, or sandbox boundary.\nC:H - This is a slab use-after-free of the hci_conn object still referenced by the SCO socket; UAF enables attacker control of freed object contents and arbitrary kernel read primitives.\nI:H - KASAN confirmed a slab-use-after-free write in sco_chan_del via hci_conn_drop/atomic_dec_and_test on the freed hci_conn, which is exploitable for heap corruption and control-flow hijacking.\nA:H - The UAF causes kernel oops/panic under normal close/teardown even when not fully exploited, matching High availability impact for use-after-free bugs."}]}],"providerMetadata":{"shortName":"Linux","orgId":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","dateUpdated":"2026-08-05T09:13:43.036Z"},"cpeApplicability":[{"nodes":[{"operator":"OR","negate":false,"cpeMatch":[{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.4","versionEndExcluding":"6.4.16"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.4","versionEndExcluding":"6.5.3"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.4","versionEndExcluding":"6.6"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"6.3.8"}]}]}],"x_generator":{"engine":"bippy-1.2.0"}},"adp":[{"title":"CISA
