- The bug is reached by configuring nf_tables rules over netlink and triggering them in a local network namespace; nftables/netfilter is scored as Local, not remotely exploitable by itself.\nAC:L - An attacker who can install rules fully controls enabling nftrace and a STOLEN path (e.g. synproxy/fwd that consume_skb), then triggers the UAF synchronously on a locally generated packet with no race or external conditions.\nPR:L - nfnetlink requires CAP_NET_ADMIN, but that capability is obtainable in an unprivileged user+network namespace (unshare -Urn), so privileges required are Low rather than High.\nUI:N - No victim action is needed; the attacker installs the rules and sends packets that hit the chain themselves.\nS:U - This is a standard in-kernel use-after-free enabling local privilege escalation within the same OS security authority, not a VM/IOMMU/sandbox boundary escape.\nC:H - Use-after-free of the skb allows reading freed slab memory (including via nft_trace_notify packet/header dumps to netlink), which per guidance is High confidentiality impact.\nI:H - A kernel skb UAF is heap-corruptible via spraying and can yield write/control-flow primitives, so integrity impact is High.\nA:H - Accessing the freed skb in the tracing path can cause kernel oops/panic or otherwise crash the system, so availability impact is High."}]}],"providerMetadata":{"shortName":"Linux","orgId":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","dateUpdated":"2026-10-30T12:17:07.220Z"},"cpeApplicability":[{"nodes":[{"operator":"OR","negate":false,"cpeMatch":[{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"4.10","versionEndExcluding":"5.10.273"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"4.10","versionEndExcluding":"5.15.224"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"4.10","versionEndExcluding":"5.18.13"},{"vulnerable":true,"criteria":"cpe:2.3:o:linux:linux_kernel:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*","versionStartIncluding":"4.10","versionEndExcluding":"5.19"}]}]}],"x_generator":{"engine":"bippy-1.2.0"}},"adp":[{"title":"CISA
